Sneha,
the vivacious damsel of Tamil cinema
gathered a press meet at the Andhra
Social and Cultural Association, T
Nagar, yesterday afternoon. Dressed
in a body hugging tomato red churidhar
and fiddling with her flowing tress,
she answered questions posed by the
press for about an hour. Excerpts
from the interview are given below.
Besides, do not forget to check the images in
the gallery section as well.
Talking about the year that went by and the
New Year, Sneha said, ‘I feel that my
troubles were receded in 2006 and I am happily
facing the New Year with confidence. Besides,
2006 was an unforgettable year for me and I
received the Nandi Award from Andhra Government’.
Sneha is as keen as mustard to talk about her
upcoming Pallikkoodam. It is an exciting feeling
and I am proud to be a part of the movie. I
play a teacher in Pallikkoodam, who is an alumnus
of the school that I teach, she mused.
I
have no reservations in being a part of ‘Nan
Avanillai’ where I am one of the 5 heroines.
The movie is the remake of the classic movie
and I am happy that I get to enact the role
of Lakshmi, stated Sneha while answering a question
about working in a five-heroine movie.
So, what does she have to say about her daring
role as a prostitute in Pudupettai? There was
nothing obscene about the role or the movie.
I was sari clad and 90% of my fans loved it.
If I had skipped the role considering its negative
tones, I would not be able to do offbeat roles,
chimed Sneha.
Sneha was flanked by her brother’s little
son in the interview.
