Bharathiraja,
the veteran director who is considered
to be the pioneers of the awakening
of Tamil cinema, has praised the young
directors in Tamil cinema to the skies
in a film event recently.
The scenario prevailed during my days
was different. People did not have
exposure to media and there was assured
success in movie making.
However, things are different now and there is
enough and more competition from other parts of
media such as television and Internet, Bharathiraja
was quoted as saying.
It is a huge accomplishment to deliver a hit movie
these days and I am happy to note that youngsters
in the industry are staying focused, he added.
