What if his Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, remake of Minnale, did not hit the bull's eye - the songs of which were smash hits however - Gautam still hasn't abandoned his Bollywood dreams. He is pondering over the thought of remaking his hit thriller Vettaiyadu Vilayadu in Hindi for which he is holding discussions with Bollywood biggies.

Saif was in his wish list earlier, however, sources suggest that he is now eyeing Ajay Devgan for Kamal's role.
Before which, Gautam has Varanam Aayiram up his sleeve. Shoots for which will commence from next month. The movie was being delayed owing to my father's ill health, Gautam was quoted saying to news sources. With Surya in the lead, VA will have Ramya playing his love interest. There is scope for yet another lead lady and Gautam is on the look out for a pretty woman.
Gautam revealed that Andrea's role in Pachaikkili Muthucharam was to be played by Tabu. However, she could not evade her prior commitments in Hindi, which made me cast Andrea instead, he stated. Pachaikkili is my attempt of an offbeat movie, and I am quite open for commercial movies as well, he added.
