On behalf of V creations, the upcoming Vikram starrer Kandasami is being produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and directed by Susi Ganesan. For Cheeyan this will be his project right after Beema. Kandasamy is set be produced on a grand and flamboyant scale with right amounts of action, love and all the commercial elements.

Director Susi Ganesan is set to be multi tasking for Kandasamy handling story, screen play, dialogues and direction. According to him, this story will also be very different just like his earlier films. He says, "India is full of contrasting ironies. While we find people walking miles and miles for a cup of water, we also have in our midst people who use mineral water to wash their children's feet. The film will be dealing with such types of paradoxes. Besides making the audience laugh, Kandasamy also would make him think and feel".
For the first time, Shreya will be playing the love interest for Vikram in this film whose character is reported to have lot of scope for performance. The comedy department has been handed over to Vivek and Santhanam, the former has planned to tickle the funny bones of the audience donning a variety of attires. Raghuvaran will be the 'bad guy'. Devi Sri Prasad scores the music for Kandasamy for Kavi Perarasu Vairamuthu's lyrics. Kanal Kannan will manage the stunts while Ekambaram will be wielding the camera.
