Actor turned politician Vijayakanth's marriage hall at Koyembedu would be brought to grounds. The Government is planning to widen the roads to reduce the traffic in Koyembedu area and hence took custody of the marriage hall and gave Vijayakanth the compensation.
But Vijayakanth refused the compensation money and appealed to court stating that political reasons are behind this move. Now the courts have dismissed Vijayakanth's petition and has asked him to take the compensation and surrender the property to the Government.
It is learnt that by March end the "Aandal Alagar Kalyana mandapam" at Koyembedu in Chennai would be bulldozed and the road work would start. Need to watch what captain's next move would be.
