Chakkara
Katti is an upcoming feature film
with Shantanu Bhagyaraj in the lead
role. This film is being directed
by Kala Prabhu who is the son of producer
Kalaipuli S Thanu. Prabhu has specialized
in the study of graphics. He has worked
with Scotland graphics experts who
were responsible for special effects
in Aalavandan.
While talking about Chakkara Katti, his maiden
directorial venture, Prabhu states that it is
all about love in college and naturally would
be welcomed by all college goers. He has clearly
targeted youth population as his audience and
the film will have all the elements to entice
this group.
Another bright and strong feature about this film
is its music being composed by A R Rahman. Prabhu
is naturally upbeat and proud to rope in Rahman
to score music for his debut venture. According
to him, as Rahman was impressed with the storyline,
he agreed immediately. He is said to have enjoyed
himself while scoring music for Chakkara Katti.
