There is certainly a difference of opinion between
S A Chandrasekhar and his son Vijay, following
the poor performance of Aathi. Sold at a premium
rate, the distributors wanted their losses to
be compensated as the movie was not released on
Pongal but Chandrasekharan had no such idea. Vijay,
on the other hand sympathized with the distributors
and wanted to make good their losses. Vijay has
now given up the idea of going for remake hits.
He has asked his dad to work out new strategies
and even listen to the stories of new directors
with patience and a willing ear.
