If you believe as we did that Pudhupettai was delayed because of Sneha’s mood swings, you are only partially right. The fact is Pudhupaettai will be delayed for some more time. Guess why? Selvaraghavan’s headstrong attitude. When one of his assistants cautioned him that he better see ‘Perusu’ first and then go ahead with the film because it dealt with the same subject, Selvaraghavan thought: Can they make a film better than mine? However, when he saw the movie, he was floored.

It was much better than he would have made. While his group was discussing the story in five star hotels, the Perusu crew went directly into the field, the hamlets and hideouts of dadas to make the film.
