The director
intends to wrap up the shooting of this film
in a single schedule spanning 45 days. For
this purpose, the film unit has erected a
Muneeswaran temple set costing Rs.10 lakhs.
The producers, Malaysian-based production
house, Lotus Five Star and Thiru Pictures
Limited, explained that the director decided
on a set instead of a real temple, as they
could not find a temple that suited their
script. This set has been erected at Vellai
Koundanoor near Pollachi, which will be used
for a 15-day shoot. Vadivelu, who played a
significant role in Em Magan, was requested
to play a role in this film as well. When
the director approached the actor, he reportedly
turned down the offer the citing non-availability
of dates as a reason, as most of the dates
were allotted to a film in which he plays
the lead role. Thirumurugan had to convince
Vadivelu that his role in the film is a very
significant one and is pivotal to the proceedings.
Finally, the actor agreed to sign the dotted
line. Let’s hope the Bharath-Vadivelu
combo recreates the magic of Em Magan. |
