This star shocked our special correspondent by
saying that he doesn’t like to be called
Simbu anymore. He said “I was named Silambarasan
by my parents, and I always want to be Silambarasan,
not Simbu.”
Silambarasan, the little superstar, said that
his Silambaattam will be a commercial potboiler
and would impress fans from 6–60 years.
He also assured that the film would be lapped
up by the family audiences. Simbu revealed that
when cinematographer Saravanan wanted to narrate
a story for a film he rejected it outright based
on the assumption that cinematographer-turned-directors
always came up with artistic movies. But when
Saravanan started explaining the story, Simbu
realized that it was an outright commercial film
and gave bulk dates immediately. With three movies
set to release this 2008 for Silambarasan, Behindwoods
hopes that 2008 proves to be a Silamb(arasan’s)attam.
