Upcoming composer Niru of Kalaba Kadhalan fame
feels that it is fine, as long as it remains a
tribute to the original composition, and does
not end up tarnishing it. His latest venture,
Rameswaram is topping the charts across the globe
for its song on refugees waiting for a ship to
take them back home. While speaking to our correspondent,
he said that he got the opportunity to work in
Rameswaram after its director Selvam recommended
him to the producer on listening to his album
Moongil Nila and his background scores for a short
film on tsunami. Niru says he is open to remixes
and endorses the trend but insists it should always
be a tribute to the original composition and should
not, in any way, lower its quality.
