Rajinikanth’s unbridled enthusiasm, in seeing to it that the film turns out well, was evident from the day he gave his go ahead for the remake. He is supposed to have been in touch with director Vishnuvardhan all through giving him suggestions and tips. Even during the final projection, the film unit had Rajinikanth at the editing suite, where he appreciated the movie, but is said to have suggested few trims before the intermission. Somebody of his stature, contributing to the betterment of a remake of his own film only exposes the astute filmmaker in him. Now that’s what true movie buffs are made of!
