Yet
another international film festival,
this time in Dubai. Maybe we are having
one too many of these. But there was
something for the Indian film industry
to celebrate. One of the biggest names
in Bollywood was honoured at the awards.
Who else but Shahrukh Khan? He must
have got used to these big awards
by now.
He
was given an award for all round contribution
to Indian cinema. Well, one need not say a lot
about SRK and his exploits in Bollywood, but just
that it is nice to know that an Indian is being
felicitated abroad. Apart from this award, two
of SRK’s films are being screened at the
festival; Chalte Chalte and Main Hoon Na. Maybe
the titles of the two films describe the stature
of this man very well. He just keeps going on
and on (Chalte Chalte) and whenever the industry
is in trouble, he is there (Main Hoon Na).
