euphoria

Superstar
Rajinikanth who cut his 57th birthday
cake on December 12th is going through
one of the best phases of his career.
His last venture Chandramukhi is still
running for more than 600 days in
a time period when movies making a
100 days mark is considered a Herculean
task; he is presently working on one
of the most expensive movies ever
made in India with one of the best
teams in the country; to top it, India’s
Prime Minister, Dr.Manmohan Singh
mentions about him in his address
to the joint session of Japan's Parliament.
One
is left wondering whether this is the first time
an actor is being mentioned by a Prime Minister
on an official visit abroad.
Manmohan Singh – on a four-day visit to
the country - referred to the movie Odoru Maharaj
(‘The Dancing Maharaja’ in Japanese)
in his speech and said he was delighted to know
about the popularity of its actor, Rajinikanth
among the younger generation of Japan. He also
added in a lighter vein that 'Odori Asimo', the
Japanese dancing robot was also becoming popular
among the children in India.
