Koodal
Nagar is the next film that would
witness Bharath in the capacity of
a hero. This film has two heroines
Bhavana and Sandhya vying for Bharath's
attention. The usual norm in Kollywood
when there are two heroines in a film
would be to showcase one heroine as
city bred and the other with a rustic
shade. But in Koodal Nagar both the
ladies are said to be village belles.
These
two ladies appear in the traditional attire of
Tamilian teenage girls viz. Paavaadai Daavani
through out the film. This is definitely going
to be a welcome change for viewers who are exhausted
with watching heroines in skimpy western outfits.
When Paavaadai Daavani is appearing to be waning
from the fashion skies, director Seenu Ramaswamy
is sure to revive this trend once again at least
in films. To show the vibrant nature of this dress,
he has ordered five hundred – hold your
breath- yes, five hundred sets of Paavaadai Daavani
to each of the heroine.
On the other hand, there is an interesting anecdote
regarding this film. Sandhya is alleged to have
informed the director that her role should also
run parallel to Bhavana and that she cannot tolerate
if her role is downsized for any reason. Music
for Koodal Nagar is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
