The
crewmembers of Naan Kadavul –
along with 500 real life sanyasis
– have traveled to Varanasi
for canning the vital scenes of the
movie. It is learnt that Bala has
sought exclusive permission from the
authorities for conducting shoots
in the shores of Ganges. Point in
fact, no movie shoots have been granted
permission earlier to conduct in the
shores of Ganges, which is considered
a holy river.
Bala
has managed to obtain consent from the authorities
and following this, construction of sets –
Sanyasi huts – is underway. Art director
Krishnamoorthy and his 100 assistants are in the
process of the construction of these huts.
The shoots are believed to resume on December
11th and Bala has plans to conduct the shoots
with close to 2000 real life sanyasis –
for which he has transported 500 from Chennai.
The rest will be picked from the streets of Varanasi.
The shoots with sadhus and sanyasis are expected
to go on for a week.
