In
the recent past, Kollywood has been
constantly dogged into some kind of
controversy from the political side.
Sometimes, it is the title of the
movie that was not apt while in some
other situation, it is the scene or
the actor performing the act. This
kind of interfering stifles the creative
independence of the film industry.
While a positive criticism should
surely be considered for the betterment
of a film, negative criticism aimed
at a personal level bogs down the
dream merchants.
Till
recent time, Kushboo enjoyed the status of a sole
adversary of P.M.K. Now their direction of ire
has shifted to Ajith. Janakiraman, a lawyer from
Vellore has filed a case in the local police station
that Varalaru should be banned and director K
S Ravikumar and Ajithkumar should be brought to
the court. This follows a scene in Varalaru where
Ajith is shown as smoking a cigar. A poster depicting
this scene is stuck at the Vellore Cooperative
Milk council building. According to the complaint
the sequence in question is said to instigate
and spread smoking among the youth. Secondly the
poster was stuck on the walls of a building which
belongs to the Government of Tamilnadu.
