However, an aggrieved Senthil Kumar filed a
petition, which came up for hearing before the
High Court Division Bench comprising of Chief
Justice Shah and Justice Jyothimani. Both the
parties were ordered to submit their version of
the stories to substantiate their stand after
which they were summoned by the judges for enquiries.
After the investigations, the Judges came to
the conclusion that the stories of Senthil Kumar
and Kamal had no similarities. The judges, in
their verdict, had held that though both the stories
contain 10 roles of the same characters, there
were no visible similarities between the stories.
When a Behindwoods correspondent contacted Kamal's
advocate Sanjay Ramasamy soon after the judgment
was delivered, he confirmed the news that the
petition had been dismissed indeed.
This significant verdict is a major victory for
the Dasavatharam team.
