Receiving honours for their service
to society is a great achievement indeed.
Among the long list of deserving individuals,
who had done great service to the society,
now joins two more from Kollywood. The
M.G.R University has decided to bestow
the honours on director Shankar and
actor Vijay.
The two will be awarded an honorary doctorate in
a ceremony to be organised in 27th August. While
Vijay has been chosen for his strong bent of mind
towards social service, Shankar will receive the
degree for driving in a social message in all his
movies. The actor is known for giving away huge
donations to service organisations, conduct free
marriages, help the handicapped etc. We wish their
service continues to the benefit of the society
for a long time.
