The success of Mani Ratnam’s Guru has opened
the flood gates for many directors from down south.
Cheeni Kum directed by Balki a Tamilian, has made
big waves in the industry with critical acclaims
for the film pouring in from all directions.
Now, the presiding icons of Bollywood, the three
Khans are going to be involved in projects associated
with South Indian directors. Aamir Khan is working
with Murugadoss in the Hindi remake of the Tamil
blockbuster Gajini. The handsome hunk Salman Khan
is reported to have given dates for ‘Wanted
dead or alive’, the Hindi version of Pokkiri
which will be directed by Prabhu Deva. And last
but never the least, for the biggest project of
the lot, Shankar joins hands with the King Khan
for his sci-fi thriller, Robot. In addition to these
names, there is Bharathiraja’s Cinema, which
stars the angry man (Reel and Real) Nana Patekar.
The very fact that the leading stars of Hindi film
industry are working with these directors goes on
to prove the trust and faith they have in them which
