The story is all about four school friends who meet
after many years and how their lives have changed
in the course of time. The movie does have the nostalgic
effect which is sure to go down with the audience
well. Another Tamil film in the race is Arya, a
Madhavan-starrer. The actor was last seen in a full-fledged
Tamil movie - Thambi - a semi hit. The movie is
set to be a fun romantic entertainer.
The English movie to be released this week is
the Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan’s threequel
of their very successful Rush Hour. The movie
will be released simultaneously all over the world
as Rush Hour franchise and the star Jackie Chan
is very famous in India. Rush Hour is set in France
and let’s see how this dysfunctional cop
team fare.
Of the two Hindi films, one is Kaafila, a Sunny
Deol movie. Sunny is very optimistic about this
after his Apne became a big hit in the north though
it did not fare well in the south. And Kaafila,
which is about immigrants, is not expected to
make a huge start as the marketing has been a
low key affair.
Now for the Pick of the week
Behindwoods pick of the week – Chak De
India
Take out your hockey sticks and enjoy this King
Khan’s motivational movie about woman hockey
team. Shahrukh plays the coach in this sports
movie, which is expected to have a thundering
start, as he has tremendous fan following. For
the first time, Shahrukh won’t be featuring
in any duets nor is this a romantic role.
Even the marketing push has been good as Shahkukh
was on Star Sports channel on the eve of the third
and final cricket match between India and England,
where he talked about cricket and obviously about
his movie Chak de India. The film will be premiered
in London and the Queen of England is expected
to grace the occasion. Let’s see whether
the movie lives up to its humungous expectations.
And early reviews say this movie is a master piece.
So expect the King of Khans to hit a goal this
weekend.
Prediction - All the movies are worth watching
or should I call it Thank God it’s Friday
