The order staying the announcement of
the 53rd National awards was vacated
by the Supreme Court Judge P. T. Ahmad.
The petition was filed by a member of
the selection committee Shyamli Banerjee
four months ago as result the awards
were not announced on May 12th as decided
upon. Mr. Banerjee had levelled charges
calling the selection process a foul
play.
With
the stay being vacated, the Union Broadcasting ministry
is expected to soon come out with the list.
