Captain
Vijaykanth is known for his determination
and fortitude, which is taking him to greater
heights both in films as well as politics.
His undaunting spirit has been a source
of inspiration to his fans all round the
state. People had been deriding him both
at politics and films. But he proved everyone
wrong in his massive victory in the general
elections. |

|
When
he entered politics, people wrote
him off in films. But Vijayakanth
seems to play both roles of a politician
and film star with élan. His
upcoming movie Dharmapuri has been
sold in many areas and the next ‘Sabari’
is creating waves right at the start-up
stage itself.
Film industry has gone in to a different
phase these days. They have realized
the value of media and advertising
to a great extent. Advertisements
could make or mar a movie.

Mitra
Media, the renowned ad’ agency who
are working for Sivaji, Naan Kadavul and
many of Shankar’s movies is designing
the promos and ads for ‘Sabari’
too. Publicity for this movie is being
done by this agency and so far they have
excelled in their job. Walls of Chennai
city are being drowned by ‘Mitra’
designed posters, each one of them costing
more than Rs.100/-.

When
captain was interviewed recently,
he seemed to have been bowled over
by the story of Sabari. He feels that
this film could be the right mixture
of Ramana and Vallarasu. The theme
is a very bold one in which captain
takes on the role of a doctor called
Sabarivaasan. While police department
shields the public, the health care
department saves them. This film talks
about the liaison and the bondage
between these two departments. Captain
opines that this film has everything
right about it, which has never been
the case in his earlier films. .

Suresh
who has directed films like ‘Gambeeram’
and ‘Arasu’ will wield the
megaphone for Sabari too. This is going
to be his 150th film as per Vijaykanth’s
wish. He feels that to plunge deep into
politics and also to get across to people,
such films would lend a helping hand
Sabari was formally launched at the AVM
studios on Vinayaka Chaturthi day with
a pooja. Salem Chandrashekar produces
the movie while Malavika and Jyothirmayi
are the leading ladies. Wishing captain
all the best!!
