The
most awaited movie of the year, 'Vettaiyadu
Vilaiyadu' is all set for release this 25th.
Theatres in the city are gearing up for
the release of this much-delayed and much
expected Kamal Hassan starrer. The movie,
after running into troubled waters over
endless controversies, has finally managed
to see the light of the day. |

Theatre owners optimistic!!
Theatres in the state are looking
forward to cash in on this movie,
as it happens to be Kamal Hassan’s
first movie after quite a hiatus.
His last movie was ‘Mumbai Express’,
which only managed to garner a lukewarm
response. All the major theatres in
the city of Chennai like Sathyam,
Abhirami, Albert and Mayajaal are
releasing the movie. Even Melody,
a theatre that is traditionally known
to release only Hindi films is screening
VV. When asked about the advance-booking
trend, Mr. Manavalan, the manager
of Kasi theatre told that he is feeling
seventh heaven.

|
|
He
says that it may well go on to surpass
the collections of Vasool Raja MBBS, the
previous highest grossing Kamal starrer.
Mr. Bala Krishnan, the administrative
in-charge of Abhirami theatres voices
out a similar opinion by stating that
the movie is already evoking a positive
response. The testimony to this fact is
the house full shows till Monday. Sathyam
theatre, the colossal Cineplex has also
scored a winner with all the shows being
house-full till Tuesday. Inside sources
say that Melody has acquired distribution
rights of the movie and is releasing the
movie on a first-copy basis.

Fans
abuzz
The ultimate treat for a
Kamal fan is ready. The movie, for
which all the ‘Kamalians,’
as they call themselves have pinned
for, has finally arrived. Fans have
already started to rejoice the event.
Festoons, banners and colorful cutouts
are for everyone to see. The movie
would be a celebration for these fans,
which have been starved without the
release of their icon’s movie
for close to one and a half years.
The tense fans are all ready to savor
the delight of watching a Kamal movie.
This movie will definitely be yet
another feather in the great man’s
cap, one hopes. |
