People are slowly awakening to their social
responsibilities these days. When such realizations
occur in the higher echelons of the community,
it surely creates a visible difference to
the society. Such a healthy trend is triggered
in the Tamil Film Industry these days.

Recently,
we had reported in this website
about the happiness Diya and Pooja
bestowed upon the under privileged
children. Now, the healthy trends
continue with none other than the
glamorous Namitha.
On behalf of Karunalaya, a social
service trust that helps the Tsunami
affected people of North Chennai,
Namitha was invited to inaugurate
their newly constructed toilets
in the fishermen hamlet of Thiruvotriyur.
On this function, Namitha highlighted
the need for hygiene. She emphasized
the need to use toilets and clean
them.

|
|
She also promised that she would visit them
next month to check on the conditions of
these toilets. People drowned her in their
love and affection and Namitha had a good
time talking to these people. She was even
found petting the children of the hamlet.
In a state where films are a religion by
itself, film stars have a definite influence
on people and when this influence is put
to positive use, we are sure that the society
is going to be benefited.
