The trend is all too familiar. Whether you
bemoan the fact or not, the truth is actors
and actresses, who are not able to make
it big in Kollywood often find refuge in
other regional languages. Most of the actresses
make a beeline to Malayalam or Telugu.

|
Remember
Genelia? The bubble-gum girl who
made a debut in big ticket director
Shankar’s ‘Boys’.
Well, her career did not exactly
soar after the first film. Her next
film, Sachein, also flopped despite
the big names Vijay and Kalaipuli
Dhanu. She went back to modeling
and was spotted in a couple of music
videos.
Not to be cowed down by adversities,
the girl made a steady attempt in
Tollywood and as things move there,
she is one of the up and coming
actresses there right now. Her recent
film, Bommarillu, with another ‘Boys’
co-star Siddharth, has been a smash
hit.

Bommarillu was directed by debutante Bhaskar
and veteran producer Dil Raju made a savvy
decision to launch the film. The high point
of the film is the neat and simple screenplay
built around everyday events. Prakashraj,
who plays Siddharth’s screen father,
has put in a show stopping performance.
Genelia has won all around applause for
her capable acting in the flick.
Currently Genelia is acting in Chennai Kadhal
opposite Bharath in Tamil.
