Namitha
made headlines a couple of days ago for
reasons quite unusual – for the folks
who just logged in, refer to our earlier
news piece in this regard – by visiting
the Police Commissioner’s office to
lodge a complaint about the extortion calls
she and her (boy) friend Bharath has been
receiving after she jointly purchased a
property with him in the Radhakrishnan Salai.
She met the Assistant Police Commissioner
Jankit and filed a written complaint in
this regard. |

|
Bharath
came out with a statement here Tuesday
stating that he and Namitha are
seeing each other and he bought
a property in the Radhakrishnan
Salai with her to start an electronic
and mobile phone showroom ‘gadgetguru.com’.
He further stated that Namitha wanted
to get into a business after her
stint in the movies since she is
pretty aware that a career in the
movie will disappear in a glimpse.
He went on to say that he and Namitha
and few of his partners started
receiving anonymous calls, from
whom he suspected to be people from
the underworld, after the purchase
of the property demanding money
before proceeding with the development
of the same.

|
However, Namitha called on the press
here on Wednesday at hotel Radha Park
Inn to put an end to the rumors that
are seemed to be doing rounds. The
pretty lass clad in an orange tee
and green skirt said that after buying
the property jointly with her friend
Bharath she had been receiving extortion
calls demanding money equivalent to
2 – 3% of the property. She
suspected underworld connection in
this and elevated this matter to the
Asst. Police Commissioner.
Much to everyone’s surprise
she startled the press by stating
that Bharath is just her friend and
not ‘boyfriend’. |
|
|
|
Well
she did not stop with that, she says that
Bharath is her business partner and she
has plans to start a construction company
in the near future. She has ‘Alagana
Ponnudan’ in her kitty and talks of
another film directed by Shakthi Chidambaram
is in the pipeline.
Be it cinema or construction, we wish Namitha
and her boyfriend, oops friend, success
in all their endeavors.
