He
is the man who has taken multitasking
to a new level in the film industry.
Who says that filmmaking is a team
effort? Kasthooriraja, is just making
a mockery of this accepted concept
about film making. It maybe out
of compulsion rather than out of
choice, but he is still doing it.
His upcoming film Idhu Kaadhal Varum
Paruvam has him doing the main jobs,
that is story, screenplay, dialogue
and direction. Apart from that,
he scores the music for the film.
The news is that he has taken it
upon himself to write the lyrics
for the songs too. He was not initially
supposed to do that; but destiny
has pushed this man into crooning.

The
news is as follows, Kasthooriraja had originally
entrusted the responsibility of the lyrics
to a senior lyricist of the industry. The
film was supposed to contain 6 songs. The
lyricist set his pen to work and completed
3 songs and sent them to the director for
approval. The director, who seems to be
very particular about every detail of the
film, was supposedly unhappy with the ancient
words usage and sent it back to the lyricist.

The
lyricist did not like this ‘in
the face’ approach and backed
out of the project.
This seems to have spurred Kasthooriraja
into action who set his creative abilities
to the lyrics of the songs. He reportedly
came out with the 6 songs. The lyrics
must have been quite a sight to look
at! How else can one explain the fact
that lead singers refused to lend
their voices to the lyrics. Kasthooriraja
seems to have been waiting for opportunities
to experiment with the creative avenues
within him. He has reportedly, sung
two of the songs himself. What else
can this man do? |

How
the film turns out to be is something that
cannot be said for now. But one can guess
the fate of the audio sales. One has to
wonder what the producer has been doing
all this while. Oops, is Kasthooriraja the
producer? He wouldn’t be taking the
risk.
