Social
responsibility is one trait, which is slowly
gaining momentum these days with movie celebrities.
Our Kollywood starlet Diya is no exception
to this. |

Recently
she visited the Little Flower Convent
School for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind
near the Anna flyover and spent
the day with the children. The school
has started training programmes
for computers, typewriting, fashion
technology and beauty courses for
these children. While inaugurating
the building dedicated for beauty
courses, Diya was found giving some
tips on beauty and also on garment
designs, to these children. She
mingled with the children completely,
who drowned her in their love and
affection. She played with them
and enjoyed herself thoroughly.
She seemed to be so much at home
and at peace with these children.

In
a world when people enjoy doing things for
publicity, here is an actress who seemed
to be very genuine in her cause. (Viewers
can have a peek at this function in our
photo gallery).
Diya, a Kalakshetra trained artiste comes
from a very orthodox family. Though her
roles in Kurumbu and Dreams were glamorous,
she now gives preference to meaty roles
where she has scope for performance.
At this juncture, special mention should
be made about Pooja, another Kollywood actress,
who recently attended a function organized
by World Vision India. Kudos to you both
girls!!!!
