after his decent performance in 'Kanda Naal

Newcomer
Udhayathara is cast opposite Prasanna.
The producers hosted the introductory
function of the cast to the media
in GRT Grand days recently. The
function was also attended by Vairamuthu,
Cinematographer Balasubramanian,
and Editor Saisuresh. G. Marimuthu
is the debutant director. Music
is scored by Dina.
Vairamuthu's golden words marked
the highlight of the function. Vairamuthu
attributed the failure of recent
day movies to the lack of importance
of woman in the stories. He advised
that if the movies were designed
to happen around the lead ladies,
they would definitely get noticed.

He
also pointed out that directors are able
to portray only about 10% of what they actually
visualize. He pleaded with frontline directors
such as Bharathiraja, Balachander, Manirathnam
and Shankar to take this up, so that the
next generation directors could improve
their visualisation skills. |
