18 singers in one song for a latest movie

Chennai – 600 028, the movie with only debutants in the lead has hit the screens yesterday, April 27, 2007. The movie has been receiving enough media hype thanks to its vibrant star cast, energetic music, and the theme that is considered emotionally close to the heart of every Indian – Cricket.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by SPB Charan, the movie also has another noteworthy personality making his debut as a lyricist. Yuvan Shankar Raja tries his hand in lyrics for Chennai and it is learnt that one of the songs of the movie has 18 singers crooning. Intended to create a record huh?

Will Yuvan Shankar Raja give the other lyricists a run for their job and Venkat Prabhu strike a chord as a director? These things remain to be seen.
