How Namitha missed being Kamal's girl

It was published sometime ago in these columns about Kamal calling off a project with Saran. Saran was supposed to have directed and produced the movie, but later on transferred the production rights to a London-based production house Karunas without informing Kamal. This is said to have irked Kamal.

With the movie being shelved, Namitha seems to be the most affected. Sources say that she was promised a plum(p) role in the movie, and what more, she had the opportunity to star with the living legend, Kamal. Naan Avan Illai has brought her a good name and fame in the industry. Amid offers to star with well-established heroes like Ajith in Billa 2007 and Vijay in Azhagiya Thamizh Magan, this movie could have added one more feather to her cap.
