It wasn't long back that Bollywood's heroines
ignited the Kollywood silver screens. But
off late, there is a reverse talent drain
of different kind with Kollywood's cameramen
being in great demand in Hindi Film Industry.
The most common reasons attributed to migrating
to Bollywood are name and fame apart from
good pay package.

It is well known that Bollywood movies are screened worldwide.
Therefore, cameramen vie for an opportunity in Bollywood.
PC Sriram, the God Father of camera, has two projects
lined up in Bollywood. One is Cheeni Kum with Amitabh
Bachchan and the other is Maniratnam's Amir Khan starrer
Lajjo.
Others who have already made a mark beyond the South or
are in the process are Rajiv Menon, Santhosh Sivan, K.V.Anand,
Ravi K Chandran, Thiru (Hey Ram), Ramji (Paruthiveeran)
and Natraj (Naalai). Few more people like R.D.Rajashekar
and Ravi Verman are also expected to take the same route
soon.
