Dasavatharam is in a legal tangle right now. We have been updating our readers regularly about the plagiarism case that the film has got itself into. In his reply to the court seeking explanation regarding the lifting of a story from Senthil Kumar, Kamal Hassan had stated

categorically that Dasavatharam is his story only. When this case came for hearing yesterday, advocate representing Senthil Kumar in his arguments stated that Dasavatharam is indeed the story of his client and he has substantial evidence of the conversation that his client had with Kamal's office personnel. He also added that they have submitted their story to the court for verification and requested the honorable judge to watch the film which will clearly indicate that the story is a plagiarized one from his client Senthil Kumar.
From Kamal's side, senior advocate Raman reasoned out that the shooting of the film is in progress and the film cannot be watched right now. Meanwhile, he also submitted a copy of the script for Judge's attention. Having heard the arguments of both the parties, the judge has adjourned the ruling to a further date.
