It seems to be the season of protégés.
Following Balaji Sakthivel and Vasanthabalan
from Shankar’s stable, comes Rasi Azhagappan
who had been Kamal’s assistant. He will
be directing a new film titled Anandavayal.
The film will have a brand new cast and the
story is expected to appeal to both today’s
youth and their parents. Azhagappan had earlier
worked under veterans like Bharathan and Singeetham
Srinivasa Rao. V.S. Udhaya has scored the music
for lyrics written by Azhagappan himself. P.S.
Dharan would handle the camera.
An interesting anecdote about the composing
for the film is the novelty about the choice
of tunes.
