Director Perarasu has gone overboard and done
a cameo role as well as a full-length action
sequence in Tirupathi. This has evoked wide
protests amidst Ajith fans, who allege that
the director has tried to overshadow the hero
in the film. Die-hard fans of Ajith complain
that Perarasu who plays the role of an auto
driver, makes a sensational entry. He has even
reserved a few punch dialogues for himself,
expecting a thunderous applause from the audience.
Angered that their thala has been sidlelined,
a few of Ajith fans indulged in a novel protest
at a local theatre. Every time the director
appears on screen, they would cover the projector
with a cloth in a bid to blank out his scenes.
Now, they are demanding that those scenes be
removed so that Ajith gets his due. It is reported
that the director plans to play hero in one
of his future films. Hope Perarasu acknowledges
that he is better off behind the camera.
