With its money and clout, Sun TV, the major TV channel with its own cable TV operation, is diversifying into the business of running cinema houses. The Sun group is building a huge multiplex in Vadapalani, at a site close to AVM Studio. Apart from fast food outlets and shopping malls including hair stylists and gyms, the multiplex will have seven screens showing seven movies at a time. Will it have an I-max theatre? It is not decided yet. For the moviegoers, it will be a bonanza- shopping, 'gym-ming', getting your hair styled, eating out and seeing a movie all at one place.
