In a fresh turn of events, Vaishnavi's mother
lodged a complaint against TV actor Dev Anand,
for abetting her suicide. It is alleged that
Vaishnavi chose the easier way out because she
was disappointed in love. Incidentally, Dev
Anand was her co-star in Manaivi. Close sources
say Vaishnavi and Dev Anand were quite close
but there was no signs of any 'relationship'.
However, few others beg to differ. They say
that Dev Anand, a married man with a kid, was
indeed involved in a relationship with Vaishnavi.
It is reported that Vaishnavi had tried to persuade
Dev Anand on several occasions for a commitment
but he didn't oblige. In a recent cultural programme
in Malaysia, both are said to have fought with
each other, and Vasihnavi's mother is said to
have warned Dev. |

In
fact, prior to her suicide, Vaishnavi is reported
to have met Dev in private, and both seemed to
have got into a tiff again. In a fit of emotion,
Dev is said to have attacked her and slashed his
hand as well. Close friends intervened and tried
to pacify both. Unable to cope with a failed relationship,
Vaishnavi was driven to take the extreme step.
The police have been interrogating Dev in this
regard. |
