Director-cum-ex-hero Bhagyaraj got into making the movie ‘Paarijatham’ with his daughter Saranya in the lead. He brought in the initial capital and thought that he could complete the movie once he got the distributors to see the first few reels. That was the mistake he made. The distributors bluntly told him that they would buy the movie only after it is completed. This has put the auteur in the spot. Bhagyaraj is known throughout the Indian film industry as the best screenplay writer. And here he is with distributors caring little for his talents. Jaya TV came forward to finance the movie on condition that they would get the telecast rights. They pumped in 30 lakhs. But that was not enough. When he asked for 30 lakhs more, they too flatly refused.
