Turning director seems to be a common aspiration
among actresses. In fact, Navya Nair and Padmapriya
are busy taking ‘notes’ from Cheran
on the nuances of film direction. And now looks
like Meera Jasmine is also bitten by the directing
bug.
Meera Jasmine who is currently shooting for
‘Nilavu’ directed by Lenin Rajendar,
took time off to speak to the media. She said
life has been kind to her and only good roles
came her way in both Tamil and Malayalam. She
said she was glad to act in films like ‘Kasthuriman’,
‘Sandakozhi’, and ‘Mercury
Pookal’, which offered her enough scope
to display a gamut of emotions.

Rather than act in a ‘super hit’ film
where she had to expose, she said she will be
more than just glad to choose a role that fetched
her good recognition. The young actress expressed
her desire to direct a film. More than it being
a matter of calling the shots, she said, on the
sublime level, it would be give her a sense of
pleasure to see her dream project ‘shape
up’. We have seen Meera Jasmine mature as
an actress. But does she have the ‘it’
factor to be successful behind the camera? |
