Vijay’s father SA Chandrasekharan owns a plot of land at Saligramam, near SSR theatre. Some youth of Vijay fans’ association set up a shelter in which they provided buttermilk and water to passersby. With the mercury beginning to soar in Tamilnadu indicating a hot and sultry summer ahead, this deed was widely appreciated by everyone. Unfortunately, all good things are never allowed to proceed in our present scenario. Some groups apparently tried to paint a political colour to the act knowing SAC’s political leanings. The shelter has been promptly removed in view of the approaching elections. Fans are quite miffed that an effort purely for the benefit of the people has been shot down.
