Nadhiya built up a huge base of popularity in Tamil and Malayalam films with her chirpy portrayals and neat characterizations. Not for her the slam bang glamour parade. Well, it is true that Nadia, once a heartthrob of million is both Kerala and Tamil Nadu is back in Malayalam films, in Fazil’s yet to be title film. She made her debut in Malayalam in Fazil’s Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu and in Tamil opposite veteran Nattiyapperoli Padmini in Fazil’s Poove poochoodava. She acted with all the top stars including Rajinikanth and left films at the height of popularity to marry and settle down in London. After about a decade she came back in Prabu’s 100th film, Rajakumaran.

But, the film which really marked her comeback was M.Kumaran. Her role of a powerful, confident mother was appreciated. She has remained careful to choose her roles both in the previous and the second innings and has stayed away from doing purely commercial masala films or ad films or teary serials. She is strong about her scripts and that is why she has accepted to do a Malayalam film again.
