Film releases getting stalled because of legal
issues once made headline news. But now it seems
to be the order of the day, with even big banners
like Vetteaydu Vilaiyadu not being spared. The
latest film to join this infamous list is Sathurangam.
The film with Srikanth and Sonia Agarwal in
the lead, has run into rough weather because
the film's producer Amudha Durairaj is facing
charges of breach of trust. As per the petition
filed by Senthil from KK Nagar, Amudha Durairaj
of Mass Movie Makers began shooting for a film
titled Production No.5 in 2003. Senthil had
paid an advance of Rs.10 lakhs towards the DVD,
CD, and TV copyright. However, the shooting
had to be shelved due to financial constraints.
