Thaandavam was released on Friday and the movie has received mixed reviews primarily due to its slow pace, length and placement of songs. The makers have paid heed to the fans' feedback and have trimmed the movie's running time by 9 minutes. The melodious Uyirin Uyire song which turned out to be a dampener in the movie towards the climax has been chopped and now fans can catch this song only on TV. The song picturized on Amy Jackson "Will you be there" has also been edited, one hears.
Fans are pretty happy now with the edited version of the film which they feel is crisp and the makers would be hoping for a good feedback at the box-office in the days to come. Meanwhile Thaandavam's first day collections are Vikram's best compared to his last three releases.
