Barfi! opened to unanimously positive reviews on Friday and the social media space is brimming with appreciations for the team of Barfi, particularly lead man Ranbir Kapoor who is proving his genius in movie after movie.
At the box-office too, the multiplexes have given a great response to this Anurag Basu creation. Single screens saw a limited release and hence a low-key reception consequently. The first day netted 9.20 crores which is lesser than Ranbir's previous release Rockstar which was appreciated by the single screens too to an extent. The second day saw a 30 to 40 percent jump as the collections reached 11.50 crores nett. Good signs indeed. Bigger circuits like Mumbai and Delhi have been the best for Barfi!
Overseas markets have also been appreciative of this feel-good flick. The coming week would see the release of Heroine, the much expected Kareena Kapoor movie and Barfi!'s collections are expected to be affected. Previous week's blockbuster Raaz 3 is still doing well in single screens and smaller circuits.
