Veteran actress, Gandhimathi passed away today having succumbed to chronic heart trouble which had been plaguing her for the past few years. The actress has appeared in films like Karakattakaran, Pettredutha Pillai (as STR's grandmother), and 16 Vayathinilae. She has appeared in over 300 South Indian films and was also seen on the small screen.
Gandhimathi's reseidence is being visited by a steady stream of celebs from the film industry who have known and worked with her. She will be sorely missed. Behindwoods conveys our condolences to her family members.
