With just over a month to go, the Diwali lineup for 2012 just keeps getting longer and more interesting. Already we had reported that Podaa Podi and Thuppakki would clash for the festival of lights. Kumki, distributed by Studio Green has also joined the race as a confirmed entrant. Both Thuppakki and Kumki have started theater bookings through their respective distributors, Gemini Film Circuit and Studio Green.
In this scenario, Vishal's Samar has also thrown its hat into the ring as a possible Diwali release. The issue regarding the title Samar has been resolved and the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja would be released soon.
Are there adequate theaters to accommodate so many high profile releases? It's a wait and watch for fans before the final confirmed list is out.
