SA Chandrasekhar has been elected as the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) with 324 votes. His opponents were KR and Sreenivasan. There are 775 active members in this powerful body and 650 votes were registered. Kalaipuli S Dhanu, from SAC's group will be the treasurer.
The Vice-President posts went to Sathya Jothi Film Thyagarajan and T Siva who were KR supporters. There were some issues regarding the elections and there was talk about postponement but it has finally been successfully completed.
