T-Series has obtained an interim
injunction at the Delhi High Court
against Sun Network Ltd and the
Telugu news Channel NTV for using
its IPR-protected content without
valid permission or copyright license.
According to a press release from
the T-Series, despite bringing the
copyright violation to the notice
of both these channels on several
occasions, they continued with the
infringements.
Speaking on this issue, Divya Khosla
Kumar, Creative Director, T Series
said, “We have always been
a serious player in this industry
and to make music work among the
masses, it is important that it
makes money for the music companies
who invest so much on songs and
song picturisations. At T-Series,
it is always a no-expense spared
effort. Hence, we come down strongly
on piracy and those violating the
copyright laws. The current matter
is sub judice and hence we would
not be able to comment on it.”
