FRAMES, Asia’s largest global
convention on the business of entertainment,
is an initiative of the FICCI. Legendary
actor, producer and film-maker,
Dr Kamal Haasan is the chairman
of the FICCI Media and Entertainment
Business Conclave that is to be
held on November 18 and 19, 2009,
at Chennai. The event is organized
to enable the film industry to globalize
and form a strong network. With
many of the top ranking companies
across the world participating in
the convention, it will serve as
a platform to ideate.
According to a press release from
the FICCI, “As a part of FICCI’s
initiatives to facilitate business
further in regions within India
and with an aim to bring the rich
potential of the Indian Entertainment
Market in the forefront of the global
media & entertainment industry,
FICCI is organizing a ‘Media
and Entertainment Business Conclave,’
on November 18 and 19, 2009 at Chennai.”
Dr Haasan has said, “I am
very happy to be guiding FICCI’s
first ever initiative of this kind
and to be associated with FICCI.”
The Key Objectives of the Conclave:
• To work closely and strengthen
links with the sizeable and vibrant
Indian Entertainment Industry and
help develop its rich potential
• To take up regulatory issues
with the state and central governments
• To provide a forum for the
Government to receive authentic
and first hand information on the
state of the Indian Entertainment
Industry and its problems and prospects
• To be one of the most prestigious
conventions on the Business of Entertainment
in Asia and indeed the entire world;
the entire gamut of the entertainment
industry would be covered at the
Conclave, over a period of two days
and will be addressed by thought
leaders in each field.
